My Artist Wife
Turns out I am married to a celebrity artist. Of course I always knew she was an artist in many ways, but she has recently been recognized in Flower Magazine as their “Artist in Bloom.” The article, titled The Accidental Artist, was a very flattering and really showed a lot of understanding about her as an artist.
I am so proud of her, but she has always been an artist to me. We met when I was in music school and she surprised me with her playing. She is quite the pianist. She is the kind of player that can understand a piece, get the technique mastered and then play with the notes to show you what she is thinking in it. Later, she wrote poems that were amazing as well. All of that dwindled down for a while until about three years ago when I told her she should start blogging. I think that began her artistic drive again because she is quite a story teller. Then later, when we were leaving Florida, she started making personalized good-bye cards. I think she found her love for paper and began creating things. So basically she can do a lot and do it VERY well. I am so fortunate and blessed.
